NDA – NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY
NDA exam pattern consists of two papers. Paper 1 is of Mathematics and Paper 2 is of General Ability. Both papers will be conducted on the same day. NDA is conducted in pen and paper mode only. All the questions asked in the examination is of objective type. There is negative marking in the entrance examination of NDA.
Defence Academy Chennai is the first academy in Tamil Nadu to train NDA aspirants since 2009.

(208 for Army, 60 for Navy and 92 for Air Force)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
AGE LIMIT: 16.5 years to 19.5 years
Educational Qualifications:
- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern
Note: Candidates who are currently pursuing Class 12 under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
Training Period and Program:
All cadets on passing out will be awarded degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi as follows:-
- Army Cadets – B.Sc/ B.Sc (Computer)/ B.A
- Naval Cadets – B. Tech Degree
- Air Force Cadets – B. Tech Degree
